    Wifi range
Is there any way to increase the receive/transmit range of my hp laptops built-in wifi without altering the laptop ? There is a wifi café a block away from my house and I can almost use it but have to get closer to make it work well. Any ideas?

Any sugestions will be most appreciated.
    Thanks

Unless the laptop already has an external antenna connector (unlikely), the least costly alternative is a USB Wi-fi adapter with an external antenna connector connected to a high-gain antenna.
