| I am not sure, but the SIM card is a standard memory chip; believe it can be used in any (??) phone that uses a SIM card. So you can take your old SIM and use it in your new phones, that is main reason Europe pioneered SIM card phones, so customer can take stored info with them (more customer oriented). T-Mobile only charges $10 or so for actual new SIM card; activation is nominal fee depending on company and who you are dealing with (local sales rep can make deals). So with more knowledge and with competition for customers, you make the deal!!! PS - Cell phone users and thus company income is about maxed out, so companies are treading water to avoid failure (bankruptcy). |
