I a netgear router and I don't know what an access point is.
I currently have a cat5 running from the cable box to the router to the laptop.
And the network card is built in.

It says that the broadcom 802.11g/b WLAN is disconnected. And I'm currently connected to the internet via netgear router. It's just when I try to connect using wireless that nothing happens.

In ip config, cmd, it says that the media state is disconnected. I've tried typing in ipconfig /renew, and that doesn't seem to do anything. I'm new at this, and would like some help. What do I do to...
