problems connecting to the internet with multible cards

In order to connect to the inter net I must repair the connection before I start any thing and some times I have to repair wile I'm in the middle of some online work. I am running XP Pro. with SP2 I also have a duel boot and am also running windows ME and I have no problems connecting to the internet in ME so I know it is some thing to do with my XP install this problem has be here since I got XP two years a go. I also get good signal all the time but my internet speed is very slow. I have tryied three different wifi cards and they all have connection problems. I get an invailed IP address in my connetion propertys if that means any thing.

any ideas
what can I do to get rid of this nuisance.

If you're using the windows XP wireless configuration tool, try using the one that came with the wireless card. I've had some cards work much better that way.
