XP DVD plays ok CD not recognized

Hi,
I'm running Windows XP Home SP2 on a Laptop. For about 3 years now I've been able to watch DVDs but any kind of audio/music CDs aren't recognized in my D:\ drive.
After looking and searching around on my system I just knew that somehow I had Disabled something to do with the DVD CD-ROM hardware/software. Never could find anything amiss. Troubleshooter says the hardware is fine. All the buttons I could find are in the Enable mode. I've looked around in the registry even. But don't know what I'm looking for.
So last week I broke down and bought a replacement for my D:\ removable storage. Put the new one in and it's the same thing. DVDs ok but no CDs being recognized. I happened upon a download at MS Downloads called "Auto Play Repair Wizard" supposed to fix any Auto Play problems I'm having. What have I got to lose at this point? I ran it and here is the log it created:

Ok, seems like I'm missing some Registry Keys maybe? How What Where do I get those back? My Restore CDs are useless, PC won't recognize them. Is there a Registry manual somewhere? And I have no idea what i'm talking about here..can someone puhleeeeze enlighten me? Am I even on the right track?
ANY observations, suggestions, and/or information will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Wroxx
