W32.Welchia.Worm

Have W32.Welchia.Worm in my Presario 715us Laptop.
Norton can’t remove or Quarantine it.
The only people I know that can help are on vacation.
I went to http://securityresponse.symantec.com...alinstructions
But the instructions seem too difficult for me.
My laptop had stopped working a few days ago, and I finally got the courage to use the QuickRestore disks. Then reinstalled Norton System Works. Went to check e-mail, then to brose the internet, and updated Norton. That’s when I found out that welchia was an uninvited guest.
My question is, if I do the quick restore again would this remove the Welchia worm?

PS if I go ahead and try to remove the worm via the removal instructions at Symantec.com, and screw things up, would I still be able to use the quick restore disks?
If I backed up the few files I have written to the HD, to a floppy or a CD would they be infected?

Thank you

On the very same link that you have posted for symantec, there is a worm removal tool that will rid your pc of the worm automatically. Simply run the removal tool and in a few minutes the worm will be gone.
