if you need more information about this problem pleas tell me..
tnx..
I had the identical symptom for a system I built where all of a sudden it would freeze completely. After two months of frustration I took the whole thing apart and ended up reseating everything (except for the CPU Fan). Didn't work. In the end (for my specific situation) it turned out to be a heat problem with my CPU. My fan wasn't seated properly and the CPU was heating and made the system unstable. I'm not saying this is your problem but you may want check the CPU fan. The strange thing is that my system only froze when I let it idle. When I was actively working on the system it didn't freeze (at least not as often). I think in my case when the screen saver came on it spiked the CPU and that cause the CPU to overheat.
no any error message sir fredg..i didn't have bsd or any error..the system just hang up..i already take off my cpu fan and return it back but same problem sir cajalat...correct me if im wrong sirs,i think its my power supply that causing the problem..im only using a generic power supply 350watts and i installed 4 system fan two hardisk one sata and one ide and a dvd writer..thanks for all ur suggestion i will rate your answers..thank you again! god bless...
Hi, whenitz,
Thank you for posting back, letting us know what you might have found. It always is a help.
I hope you found what is causing the problem.
God Bless. and have a great week.
The 350 watt power supply might very well be your problem. MSI recommends at least a 450 Watt PS for the K8N and with all of the other devices you have you may not be getting enough power.
When you get a new PS make sure you get a 24-pin model (vs. the older 20-pin). I believe your board needs 24-pin although the 20 pin will still work. The 24 pin kind supplies additional power to the board.
tnx guys for all of you suggestions..
