When I ran the Malewarebytes program it did not find anything, however, I was then able to load the Microsoft Security Essentials. Should I delete the Malwarebytes program, or is it okay...

Running now, has not found anything in the 20 minutes that it has been running. Suggestions for a "free" virus protection. Wanted to use the Microsoft product, but still getting the E:\ drive error.

This computer did have malware and may still have it.

Get this error when trying to reinstall Windows Defender. Defender does not work on this laptop. Get the following error Application failed to initalize: 0x80070006. The handle is invalid.
