Recover files from compressed PacketCD

With Cequadrats WinOnCd 3.6 on windows 98se I made a compressed volume packet cd using a cd-rw 700mb disk and copied files to it. It worked fine. Later I tried to copy more files to it as is supposed to be possible and it is now unreadable by my drive. Is there any way to recover the files from the cd-rw disk? I used the Roxio support forum on 19th October 2004 to post this same question and have not had any answers. Can anyone help?

Also posted this at 'Windows BBS' so far without reply. Does not bode well methinks.

Cheers All

WinOnCd 3.6 Packet writing

I was interested to read your post as almost the same thing happened to me, be it that my packet cd's don't have a compressed volume.
I have about 8 cd's, both R and RW, with backup data saved in Packet format, and whichever I put in the drive, I get a blue screen stating that a fatal error has occurred. I tried about anything to retrieve the data on these cd's, without any results. I am desperate! I would be interested to know if you got any replies to your post, here or elsewhere!

re winoncd packet writing

Hi

No luck so far. Thanks for the reply anyway. Have not had even one reply to my post at windows bbs. I'll try a few other forums and if I ever find a solution will post it here. Meanwhile, I don't trust packet writing at all.
