New monitor shows no signal

PC: Gateway 500, Radeon Graphics card

Started to experience a problem with the monitor cutting out and freezing the system about a year ago. Deducted through Gateway service, though we didn't have a service contract, that we needed a new video card. a month or two later started experiencing the same problem intermittently, looking like the monitor or card were about to go bust. We purchased a new monitor as well hoping to solve the problem. Long story short, we moved and hadn't had a chance to test computer w/ new monitor. Since hooking up the new monitor I only recieve a "no signal" on the monitor screen. It's hard to tell if the hard drive is booting all the way too, It beeps a few times, the drive spins and that's it. Not sure what is going on and I don't have another computer to test it with. Any suggestions??? Much appreciated.

B.
