Monitor and computer flashing yellow light

My monitor and computer stays in power save mode and I'm stuck at what to do. I've tried shutting the entire system down by turning off everything. It then comes back on green (the monitor) but the computer light remains yellow (flashing). Can someone advise me on what to do PLEASE!!!!

loose mon cable? can you try another moitor?

This is my home computer and unfortunately I don't have another monitor on hand to try. is there anything else I can do?

Can you take the monitor to a friend, you must start a logical isolation of where the problem is, first monitor then video card then entire computer. A computer repair shop could isolate it in a few mins usually with no charge call around..Of course they would want you to buy one there if that's whats wrong with it!
