Have you tried a system restore ?

Just boot into safe mode and go from there.
Then its time to lock them out of making changes using Group policy on that machine.

Hi,
Have you tried this?
Right click on any area of your desktop, where the taskbar was.
Then click on Properties.
Click on the Taskbar tab.
See if "auto hide the taskbar" is checked. If so, then left click on it to uncheck it, click on Apply and OK.
Also, see if "hide the taskbar" is checked. If so, uncheck it.
Might work, be worth a try.
Best of luck.

Also, to add to fredg's post, if you go to the bottom of the screen a double arrow should appear and ou should be able to drag it back up again ¬_¬

But, its probably much much more complicated than that!!

Your students have humour.

Now set your screensaver to be password protected and lock your workstation when you leave it.
