The key to use for bio`s varies with the brand of PC
look your computer up at this site and they will tell you which key [or keys] to use.

Try F1, F3, F10.

Try F1 first.

That is how I got to my bios. I have windows xp pro.

Bios/Cmos is independant of the Operating system and varies from manufacture to manufacture.
If you could let us know the brand of the problematic machine we will be able to assist better.

Go to the website of the pc maker and you will be able to find information about your exact system and how to get into bios.
