How do I change my desktop icons?
When I create a shortcut on my desktop from a web site, it automatically inserts the Window's "e" with the yellow stripe and check mark for an icon.
I have tried right clicking on the "e" icon and then "properties", "change icon", selecting an icon from the list then "ok" and "apply" but nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong?
To give you one example that did work out fine by itself, when I created a short cut for Google Earth, it brought along it's own icon and all is good. Most other shortcuts are that "e' and I can't seem to change it.
