    How can I enable the options that controls the desktop?

    They are located in the control panel and called Display Properties.

    Properly there the options are disabled. I want to know how can I enable it? The server is a windows 2000 server.

    Windows 2000 eh? If I remember well you probably have to do that silly thing that includes enabling Active Desktop.

    Are you logged in as an Admin? Sounds like a user permission issue. Could also be the Active Desktop thing.

    I don't have Windows 2K Server to test but it does appear that the ability to select from the left side list is disabled for some reason.
