crash

problem of my computer is it just stops in the middle of when i am doing something and the blue screen comes up with the notice and this is not the first time it happens frequently , the message is like this :Help me please

A problem as been detected and window has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

if this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps:
Check t make sure any new installation, ask your hard ware or software manufactures for any windows updates you might need.
If the problem continues, disable BIAS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components,restart your computer , press f8 to select Advance start up Options, and then select safe mode.

hi,
i use microsoft xp home edition XP home version 2002 service pk 2 VAIO computer p 2.80 ghz , 504 of Ram. it crashes when i am downloaing music or burning cd's. some time it restarts it self.

What software are you using when it crashes? Is it the same for both tasks? Have you tried reinstalling that software? Have you done error checking and defragging from Disk Maintenance?

DID IT BUT DIDNOT DO ANYTHING STILL CRASHING

Crash

Hi,
If updating your drivers keeps it from crashing, then you are good to go!
If it crashes again, you might have to use System Restore, or use the Repair option on your install CD's.
If you have never used System Restore; here is a step by step link showing how to use it:
