problem of my computer is it just stops in the middle of when i am doing something and the blue screen comes up with the notice and this is not the first time it happens frequently , the message is like this :Help me please

| hi,
i use microsoft xp home edition XP home version 2002 service pk 2 VAIO computer p 2.80 ghz , 504 of Ram. it crashes when i am downloaing music or burning cd's. some time it restarts it self. | |

Pay to call ScottGem for advice ($.75/min) | What software are you using when it crashes? Is it the same for both tasks? Have you tried reinstalling that software? Have you done error checking and defragging from Disk Maintenance? | |

defragging from Disk Maintenance
DID IT BUT DIDNOT DO ANYTHING STILL CRASHING

Hi,
If updating your drivers keeps it from crashing, then you are good to go!
If it crashes again, you might have to use System Restore, or use the Repair option on your install CD's.
