Re: Driver

Hi,

In most cases, an operating system will indeed find the best driver for your hardware. There are exceptions such as when you have off-brand hardware, or install new hardware on an older operating system which would not have knowledge of the newer hardware now available on the market.

If there is any question concerning the driver, I would go directly to the Dell website and download the driver they have available based on your particular Dell computer (and based on Win98.) They have never failed me when searching for something on a Dell product.
