Cant open up Windows media Player

I cannot open up windows media player and geting frustrated!
I have tried scanning my computer for any viruses and removing them but it has done nothing.
Another thing, when I open up internet explorer it doesnt go to my hompage just comes up blank and have to type in the url to get to it.

PLEASE HELP ME

You can change the setting on internet explorer to set your home page. Look in tools for your options, I think.

With media player, sounds like a file is corrupt or missing if it won't open. You should probably delete the program and reinstall it. I think you can reinstall it for free if you go to the microsoft website and they can validate your windows as legitimate.

Is your antivirus updated? because if this happened without anyone changing or deleting anything then I would bet that it's a virus
