Cheap Vista?

I've come across a retail web site advertising a new Windows Vista ULTIMATE edition for under £25. It does not specify whether it is an OEM version or an upgrade or anything else. (No reply from vendor yet!)
Apart from the price, the site seems kosher, but is $50 too good to be true?

It could be an, 'Acedemic' version, but, there again????????

Here's the ad................
Windows Vista ULTIMATE Edition (NEW!)

For the person who wants one operating system that is great for working from home, working on the road, and for entertainment, Windows Vista Ultimate is a no-compromise operating system that lets you have it all
This software is provided on DVD - please ensure your computer is capable of reading DVD disks.

Sounds like they are selling an OEM version (which should be with a new computer) by itself, which is illegal. Or they are burned copies and the company will disapear after it makes a few sales.

Vista isnt great, alot of compatibility problems still.

deemac agrees: Probably and cynically perfectly correct. SNAFU
biggsie agrees: XP wasn't that great when it first came out -- M$ and software suppliers had to work the bugs out!

I've just sussed this out. It's a back-up job. Probably won't reactivate if used stand-alone.
FAQ page says..........
It is not on an original holographic disc and does not include a certificate, box or manual. You get the full version software including serial code or activation instructions. The software can be used as a backup copy of the original disc, a replacement disc or for evaluation purposes.
Please note, the software is full and standalone, therefore you do not require any previous versions to install.

Otherwise, just exactly will I not get if I purchase this.

I don't know diddly about computers, but I do know proper business english, and I would have to say, that from reading through the FAQs, that this company is an individual or a company, LOL as the language goes from "we" to "I" which puts me on guard as a scam.

Poorly written websites usually get my curiosity going as to the validity of the company.
