Ms-dos boot partition

Can somebody help me on how to create ms-dos boot partition.I was trying to install window me on my old gateway p200mghz,bt it ws telling me dt i need to create ms-dos boot partititon bcos my HDD is already NTSF,HPSF format.

You need to use FDISK to delete all the existing partitions and create a new one. You need to copy the FDISK command unto your boot floppy and run it from there.

Also note that FDISK'n' will make any existing data on the drive inaccessible through normal means. If there is data on the drive you wish to keep, you will need to use a partition editor like PartitionMagic or Parted.
