Capture Card-Motherboard Compatibility

I have a new GA-K8NSNXP-939 ( Chipset nForce3 Ultra ) Motherboard and a used WinFast TV2000XP Expert Capture Card. The trouble is they don't seem to be compatible. The TV picture is too bright and the contrast is out of proportion, in other words it is all haywire and cannot be adjusted in the settings panel of the C/Card.M/Board drivers are up to date, so are theC/Card. The C/Card was put back into the old PC ( GA-K8VT800 Pro Chipset VIA K8T800 ) and worked again perfectly, then put back into the new PC in a different PCI slot and the result is still no good.
Has anybody have any ideas how to make them comptible.
