Can't Collect Information !

Have brand new PC with XP Pro.
When I try to access My Computer Information - All I get is " Cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation Software " , same for any System Information.
Also when I try for Information, it collects up to 15-16% and then " CRITICAL ERROR ".
Also if I want to download anything, it is very slow or refuses completely.
Otherwise it is working beautifully.
Hope somebody can help, I can't find anything myself.
