    Can I use dell laptop windows on lenovo laptop?
    My brother purchased dell laptop.he got a windows 7 with it.he installed it on his dell lap top.I want to install win 7 on my ibm lenovo laptop also.
    Can I install it?what about the cd key?

    Nope as the Dell discs have Dell drivers and the key is already in use.

    That's called piracy. Windows is licensed to be installed on ONE machine and one machine only. Even if the disk that came with the Dell is a generic Win 7 disk, it would still be illegal to put it on a second machine.

    If you want Win 7 (and I recommend it), buy a legal copy.
