Buffer Overrun Detected

I have just reinstalled Win.XP Pro.And I want to reinstall Photoshop Album Starter Edition, but when I try to open it I get :-Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Buffer overrun detected!
Program:...n\3.0\Apps\Photoshop Album Starter Edition.exe
A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state.
The program cannot safely continue and must now be terminated.
I don't seem to be able to find an answer to this.
Can anybody assist?

Uninstall the program as completely as you can. Then try reinstalling.

Thank's Scott,
I have Uninstalled completely and have installed from different places, like Adobe,Cnet etc. All without success. So I suspect that the program is not at fault, but Windows. As I had a fair few niggling problems I clean reinstalled the OS. I fixed all my previous problems, like, Autoplay that could not be repaired and things like that, but it seems I have got one problem instead.

This is a downloaded program? It may be a problem in the download.

The Program downloads ok, I think it must be in the installation but I have no idea what to look for.
I just downloaded the ( Adobe Photoshp Album Starter Edition ) program from Adobe on a spare PC, downloaded and installed,no problem.
