Big problems

I have a few big problems with a new computer I purchased. I would really like to know if i can fix these problems, or if i need to return the computer.

In the manual that came with the barebone computer, it stated that the system board only supports Celeron 300-700mhz. This computer came with 1000mhz.

The system continually crashes, displays illegal action errors, and the following VxD error: A fatal exception 0E has occured at 0028:C000827B in VxD VMM(01) + 0000727B.

Windows 98 also does not recognize the Celeron processor and refers to it as Pentium II.

I have tried formatting, repartitioning, and reinstalling windows 98, and the problem persists. I cannot run Norton WinDoctor, and Norton Disk Doctor reports no problems.

I hope someone can help. Thanks

Re: Big problems

A new computer shouldn't crash. Get the seller to rectify it.
