Adding local user to local admin group

Hello,

AS a remote 3rd line support, i have ran into the problem that the account wasn't a local admin. I wasn't able to connect to machine with my domain admin account because RDp sessions where blocked.

I used a 3rd party tool to connect to the machine, but couldn't do anything..because of those local admin rights.

Is there a way to add the use rin the local admin group, even when you don't have originaly those rights?

like editting the registry?
