wanting to lose weight but I can barely breathe.ever.

ok....im slightly apprehensive about putting this question up here cause I am so sensitive about the subject already and I have seen some of the criticism that other people have gotten.
But here goes.....

I recently (within the last year) gained about 30-40 pounds very rapidly (in about 4 months) I am very unhappy and am also worried about my health as I know that I am now very overweight. I want to lose weight and exercise but i have some breathing problems that prevent me from doing anything even as little as walking quickly. I am very frustrated with this and the doctors haven't been able to give me any conclusive reasons or fixes for my breathing issues. It gets to the point where I almost pass out and my hands, etc start to go numb and my vision goes black...that will happen just from walking up the stairs. I am not THAT overweight that I should be that out of breath...plus I have always had this issue even when I was underweight some years ago.

So basically I am looking for any advice....i would also like some advice on some low impact exercises that will help me lose weight but don't really effect my breathing.

oh and I have already been checked out by doctors as to why I have gained so much so fast and they didn't find anything wrong...which is good but puts me back to square one as to how to lose weight!

Thanks guys

oh and by the way....i don't like pig out either...
I honestly eat less then 1500 calories a day for sure...
and honestly most days is then that. Im not starving myself I am just never hungry or not very hungry and when I do eat I don't eat very much. so I don't feel like it is a calorie intake problem that I have.
One doctor suggested the weight gain was because I let go of a lot of stress since it started once my husband returned home from Iraq. Obviously i was more stressed while he was gone and she thinks that when I was able to relax my body gained the weight... just some more info so I can get some more accurate answers..thanks

hey thanks for your comments on my questions, i really appreciate it . Im not in the greatest position for giving advice but have you tried doing pilates ring exercises, they are quite low impact exercises that wont leave you breathless and apparently they are really good for toning too. Hope this helps
