For dinner, a pack of mixed frozen vegetables that serve roughly 6 - 7 meals costs $0.99 a pack at my grocery store...a package of about 8 chicken breast fillets run me about $8...and a bag of rice will run me about $5. 4 fillets of tilapia runs me about $4.
Overall, my groceries cost me about $30 a week or so...and I eat quite a bit.
So yeah, if you budget and shop well, it's much cheaper. |
But, you're only feeding one mouth, so it is much cheaper. My husband eats like a horse! And, as I mentioned earlier, I also have a problem with overeating. I may eat twice as much as you, which in turn, adds up to more money. Sometimes I just don't know when to back away from the table!
Food is my addiction. I use it for comfort also. If I'm having a bad day or I'm down about something, I always turn to food.
