I am 5'5 and i way 125 pounds. i would like to way 110 because i think thats a good weight so that i can wear a bikini for the first time in my life.
so i wanted to know if there was any way to lose those 15 pounds before summer
i am only 14 years old so no surgery or extreme diets please.
i was looking stuff up and i found the tea diet with 2 cups of tea everyday.
some 400 year old Asian weight loss remedy.
can it be trusted?
and if not do you know a quick and fast way i can lose 15 pounds?
also i don't have much time in my day so something that works, is fast and can be easy to do.
You can drink good teas like green tea, oolong, and other oriental teas,
also eat whole wheat and healthy foods.
Avoid sugar and refined flour.
Also eat healthy snacks through the day like fresh fruits and maybe some celery sticks
and eat your breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Also eating at scheduled times helps.
You really should be just right for your height and weight so maybe you just need to tone your stomach a little.
I would think that as long as your waist is no more than 27 inches I really can't see you as needing to lose anything
Drinking 2 cups of a tea? God if only that was true!!
Ur only 14 so the bits of your body that u dont like is just probabaly baby fat, i used to be exactly the same at ur age, and then the next minute it just all dropped off!!!
I think uve got a right idea about not doing anything drastic, because its really important that u know ur still growing and if u exclude certain foods from ur diet then that can stop u from developing properly, and u will notice those little things when ur older
I think you should do a high wheat, high protein, low fat, low carb diet plan
Basically, in the morning have some wheetabix, bran or poriddge for breakfast that will keep ur bowels moving so u dont become constipated, wheat is also good for weight loss! Make sure u eat ur breakfast, as that really is the most important meal of the day it will stop u from binging
For lunch have lots of salad and tuna or chicken? and some fruit and nuts too if u like
For dinner have steamed fish or chicken or whatever u like, with plenty of veg!
Remember that when ur trying to diet u dont have to stop eating pasta and rice, just have the healthy version instead! Personally after first trying brown rice i have never had white rice since!!
And just snack on fruit throughout the day, it makes ur skin really nice aswell! And drink lots of green tea (i put pieces of lemon in mine because i dont like green tea on its own!)
sure you can lose weight fast, but it takes effort. good nutrition is a smart starting point (especially cutting out the junk, soda, and snacks due to boredom), but the real way to shed pounds is through sweat and work. period.
the problem is most people want results in just a couple of weeks. when you start a dedicated program, building toward your working out 4-5 times a week or even more, it takes time for your body to respond. the first few weeks might see a little weight change, but during this time your body is just starting to get in gear for losing weight. this is the time to worry about flexibility and muscle training... teaching your body what the proper movements are and forms are... teaching yourself how to breathe right and prep your body for the real work.
after one or two weeks of this, then you amp it up. you need cardio, you need to move your body deliberately and hard. 6-8 weeks in, you are going to feel stronger and youll probably see changes in your body. better still, youll be in a routine that will keep you in shape and continue to tone your body.
it takes 6-8 weeks for most people to make a forced routine a natural habit. start now and by the start of summer you may not be exactly where you want to be... but youll be on your way. would losing half that weight in that time not be worth it? sure it would. not only would you be closer to your goal, but your body will already be primed and ready to lose the rest.
walk, run, jump rope, climb stairs, hike, swim for cardio.
back work, abs and legs can get great work from pilates (check out your public library for dvds), or traditional excercises like lunges, squats, crunches, situps, leg lifts.
and dont fret too much about numbers... your body can tone muscle and lose fat without a lot of weight change.
