Healthy weight loss plan?

Just to start off...I am 5"7', 18 years old and 167 pounds. I want to lose weight, as fast as possible; just as long as its healthy. I am in college (taking 20 credit hours) and work 31 hours a week..(it's at a Dry Cleaner's where I don't do anything but homework really, or read...I am actually there right now ) so as you can see I don't have much time to do much of anything. I have tried to diet before..I ran 3/4 a mile and walked the other 1/4 for probably a month straight every day except for sundays. I ate much less food, smaller portions, tried to keep it healthy, no soda, fast food (I'm addicted to chocolate though, so I will admit I had a little of that here and there). Everytime I weighed myself I NEVER lost weight! Even after a month! I know, it takes time. But not loosing weight and working that hard just depressed me. So I stopped. I feel like I don't know what to eat, when to eat, when to exercise, how long to exercise, when to weigh myself, yada yada yada. And I have no motivation to keep going, if I dont lose weight I just want to give up! I know this may be asking a lot, but I guess it wont hurt to try - Would anybody be willing to help me with an exercise/food plan? It has to be as convienant as possible. I have a microwave and a refrigerator at work...and I'm always on the go. I would prefer to work out at night, but I guess I can make time for anything. If anybody were to help me out with this sending me a private message it would be GREATLY appreciated! I gained all this weight in the past year....I'm up for anything, I just want to get down to a reasonable weight!

I just had a baby three months ago and I am also dieting. honestly it really does not matter what you eat, it's how much you eat. (but if you're eating mcdonalds every day then of course it matters what you eat, eat healthy things). It's all about portion control. What I did was buy one of those little kid plates that has the little sections and thats how I serve myself. IT has helped me cut down a lot. Always drink a glass of water before you eat. Sometimes people mistake dehydration for hunger. I eat scrambled egg whites with green chile and cheese in the morning or I eat two hard boiled eggs and some toast, eat yogurt, granola bar, or 100 calorie things for snacks, eat a nice lunch something filling, eat a light snack, then eat a light dinner. Don't eat after7 pm. Each time you feel hungry after you eat a meal, sit for another 20 minutes and see if your still hungry after that. Drink nothing but water, and if that gets boring add some lemmons or limes, or get those powerade drinks. Then I do pilates three times a week at night when everyone is sleeping. I do this dvd called 10 minute pilates solution. Each segment focuses on certain parts of the body so I do 50 minutes of pilates altogether. Then I go to a mommy baby work out group twice a week. Try the pilates. It's great, really tones the body and helps you lose inches. I also only weigh myself once a month. I normally don't go by weight, I go by how my clothing is fitting and how I feel. I dont really care about the numbers. Don't be too discouraged if you dont see the numbers changing, you can still lose inches, but not weight. Muscle does weigh more then fat. Remember that. Stay away from greasy and fried foods. After about a week, all the fast food places will seem less appealing trust me. I hope some of this helps. Goodluck.

The best thing to do is to start a healthy diet and exercise program with reasonable results. Healthy goal is about 2 lbs a week, anything more would be starvation which can led to worse problems. The easiest way to cut calories is to find alternatives to the unhealthy things that you drink and eat. Cut out the junk food completely, just a few snacks every once in a while. Cut out all soft drinks and DIET DRINKS, these are just as bad a regular non-diet sodas. Drink lots of water to flush out the body and keep well hydrated, this will result in gorgeous skin as well, distraction from a few extra lbs

ALSO, WEIGHT IS NOT AN ACCURATE MEASUREMENT, YOU SHOULD LOOK AT YOUR SIZE AS A MEANS OF CALCULATION. MUSCLES IS GOOD AND WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT!!!
