    Eating when empty
    I'm going to be honest.

I eat sometimes when I'm not hungry. Just empty. Drunk, depressed, stressed, bored.

Is there something to cure this?

Nope comfort eating will probably always be a part of you only you can stop yourself from doing it but the habbit will always be there the same as smoking there's always that temptation, you could try replacing that food with a healthy option like fruit or veg or bran cereal.
At the end of the day you are what you are and you should be happy with yourself there is only of you so make sure you love it ;)

It's low-fat mayo if that helps... I know, but the only other thing that makes me feel better in these particular situations is smoking. No mystery that I gained weight after "quitting" smoking.

I quit 18 months ago cold turkey and the smell of it now makes me want to hurl, The weight gain well actually I blame that on being pregnant its gradually going away just not as quick as the first time round.
But saying all that I'm happy with myself and that's all that matters xx

I kind of quit two years ago. But still smoke when I'm really stressed or freaking out about something. I think I've smoked a pack total this year.

Do you have sweet cereals? You can eat these, especially if they contain a lot of fibres. I once ate a whole packet when I had nothing to do and was looking for something to eat.

But I still eat when I'm not hungry, for I want to GAIN weight. The last time I calculated my BMI, it was slightly below 20. I want to be in the 20.1, at least;)

Well, I think that there is a cure for "comfort eating". The first step is identifying it... so you've take your first step! The second step is making a commitment to what you want to do about it. It's HUGE that you told so many about this, (us)... you're being open and honest. That's one of the elements to commitment, being real. Now all you have to do is ask yourself what you are prepared to honestly do about it. And do it in a committed way. I used to "comfort eat", (like so many people... ), I owned it as my reality then I announced it to my closest friends, (and they sympathized and admitted they do the same sometimes too), then I decided/committed to change. Change is something that comes in many forms and it's dependent upon the time of day you comfort eat. For me it was at night, in front of the TV with my family. During the day time I was a good girl. I decided I needed to either keep my hands occupied during that time OR stop watching TV. (Stopping wasn't an option really). Now I either hook rugs or knit... (don't laugh! It works!). Sometimes I just give my dog a good massage... lol. Bottom line is that I'm thin now. My hubby thinks I'm "The bomb!". I think this expression works in so many realms, "For every action there is a reaction"... my body is AWESOME again. All it took was for me to commit. What's it going to take for you?
