The stuff on TV is just a means of separating people from their money. Use your legs cheap and effective. :) Walking one of the best fat burning exercise going, doesn't do much for your cardiovascular system though.

Yeah sounds good what your eating but don't forget breakfast - most important meal of the day. Speeds up your metabolism. Eat little and often and you will speed up your metabolism and this is better than two meals only. It will also prevent you from overeating when you do eat as you won't be as hungry.

But honestly....does walking around really make you less fat? LOL...i dont get how that works. Mostly i see ppl on tv using home gyms or the ball and they lose weight doing that.
My sister had to be on a 30 fat gram diet a day for medical reasons (GI problems) and I started to have to eat what she does because we live together and its more cost effective if we buy and eat almost the same things... I found two REALLY good fat free dressing you can use on a salad! Fat Free Italian from Wish Bone... and Fat Free French from Schnucks... these dressings are really great!. one of the things people do wrong is they are thinking they are eating healthy because you are eating a salad, but the dressing is the thing that is fatening... try those.. they are delicious!

I think the point is: don't let anyone tell you what you are. Pleasing your man isn't a goal, just a bonus. If you are at home in your body, then you are at home in the world and what better way to be?

I read in an article somewhere that to calculate what your proper height/weight proportion should be is to basically take every inch over 5 feet tall and add 5 lbs to 100. Ex. My height is 5'3" so therefore my ideal weight should be about 115. Unfortunately I am a long way away from that but I'm trying.

Walking really does do you good! For the past three weeks I have been on what I would not really call a diet, but more of a change. I have totally cut out junk food of any kind including any kind of soda. I eat a lot of veggies, some fruit, turkey, chicken breast, and eggs occasionally. I also drink green tea which is supposed to be very beneficial in losing weight. I am not starving by any means, the things I do eat are much smaller in portion and I make sure I have a little snack, usually a small portion of trail mix (the kind with peanuts, almonds, cashews, and some m&ms which totally satisfies any sweet tooth.) I walk everyday, usually between 3-4 miles, and in the three weeks since I began have lost over 12 lbs. I also do some weights and other exercises but I always feel so good after a walk. I have a thyroid issue which I am taking medication for, but still felt like crap and was always tired until I changed a few things. Now, I feel so much better. My doctor has even said I could try cutting my dose of thyroid meds back since it seems that maybe I am having more luck dealing with it through diet and exercise. Most important thing I have learned also, is to get plenty of sleep! Lack of sleep can have negative effects on your weight too.

Make it a life change instead of a diet. Get rid of sugar of any kind except for fruit, vegetables, agave and some raw honey. Read your labels and don't eat anything that is high fructose, corn syrup, maltodextrin, dextrin, evaporated cane juice, dextrose, fructose, lastose (milk has sugar) etc... they are all sugars! Check out "Raw food recipes" stay away from white food such as white rice, pasta, breads, potatoes... not only are they GMO but also go into sugar in your blood stream.
