What's the weight of a "Stone" in pounds?

Exercise and diet regularly while practicing good food choices (Cut the junk out) will help with weight loss regardless.

Depending on your hight 10 stone 8 pounds could be a healthy weight. Try checking your BMI (Body Mass Index) online, just google body mass index and it will tell you if your underweight, a healthy weight or overweight. It will also suggest a healthy weight.

If you really want to drop some weight a simple way is cut down on calories, eat no more than 16OO a day and take plenty of cardio exercise.

I'm not giving an expert oppinion but its a suggestion. Weight loss isn't hard if you have the will power.

I know this is off the subject, but isn't just saying how much you weigh in pounds straight out so much easier? Just kidding!

I saw that you also posted under stopping smoking. May I suggest you pick one of these goals and complete that before trying another. I am a girl that has battled my weight all my life and can tell you from experience that trying to lose weight while trying to quit smoking is super tough. I would suggest starting with the cigarettes first. That is more critical now than your weight.

Once you have been smoke free for 6 months, then start your diet. Adding exercise now while keeping your same diet will make you feel better and you will start seeing small results soon.

Em, some places in the UK weigh in stones, where other places weigh in kilograms. If you go to google and type in convert 10 stone to pounds it gives you 140 pounds. So one stone = 14 pounds
