Proper size tablecloth?

I am getting married next June. The tables at my reception are circular banquet tables with a white table cloth, however, I was wondering if it would look nice to have a long thin narrow cloth of my theme color over the white tablecloth. (The one I am talking about is usually used for oval or rectangular tables.) Will that look funny over a circular table?

Thank you for your reply, January
