Registering for gifts

I am beginning to plan my wedding, and have purchased a wedding book. When it comes to registering for gifts, how do you go about telling your guests where you have registered? I feel awkward doing this. any help would be awesome

Some places give you slips that you can insert into the bridal shower invitations letting them know where they can find your registry. If you did not get these slips, you can write somewhere on your invitations where you have registered. I say bridal shower invitations because they are usually less formal than the actual wedding invitation that shouldnt be written on.

All they need to know is your name and where you are registered. Once they get to the store, or get online, they can find the rest.

**EDIT** - You can also send this information out by mail in its own seperate envelope, or by email as well.
