    Something in eye, now red
Last night if felt like I had something in my eye. I kept blinking, and rubbing my eye trying to get it out... but it didn't seem to work. When I woke up this morning, it was still there, the left side of my left eye was very red, and I could feel that I couldn't open my eye all the way, it would only open about 1/4 of the way.

I went and picked up some Clear Eyes - Maximum Redness Relief, and have used it a few times today. About 15 minutes after I first used it, my eye was able to open up probably about 3/4 of the way. It is now 3pm (here at least) and it STILL feels like I have something in my eye, and the redness obviously is not going away either.

Do you think this is something that will just pass, or should I see a doctor?

    I would see a doctor.

When you rubbed your eye, whatever is in it irritated it further. It's never a good idea to rub your eye when you have something in it.

Go to the doctor, he'll be able to get out whatever is in there and probably give you some drops to help with the irritation.

Next time, just put some water in your eye to get rid of the obstruction. You can scratch your cornea if you rub and something is in your eye.

Thanks, I went in to the med center (my doc. Was closed), and they looked it over. They pretty much told me it may or may not be pink eye, and gave me some drops to put in my eye (That was last Thursday). By yesterday (Monday) my eye had gotten a lot worse. I made an app. To see my doctor and went in, turns out I have an upper respiratory infection, an ear infection, and according to the doc "Something a little more than just pink eye". He wrote a script for some new eye drops, and some other meds. After about 3 hours of using the new drops, my eye was almost 100% back to normal :) :)

The lesson to be learned I guess, is to wait for your doc. Don't waste time and money at a med center.

Also drop for red eye are just for asthetics. They do not help anything but the appearance of red in your eyes.

I'm glad to hear the problem was solved.
