| It depends on which surgery you are eligible for. Traditional Lasik is perform by creating a corneal flap, lifting it, lasering, replacing the flap and then there's a healing process. Now if they find you have a thin cornea, they might recommend PRK, which is basically the same thing, but they remove the flap completely, laser, then use a contact lens as a bandaid. The healing time is a bit longer.
