I need free eye glass frames

I am a 65 year old, disabled man. My glasses are broken and I need new frames.Medicare will not cover the cost. since I am on a fixed income, I cannot afford them! I am trying to find out if there are any programs available to me. Thanks

Call your local Lions Club (or the public library reference desk to get their number). The Lions do much to help people with low or no income.

Roger, I can't help you on the available programs but I did run across a web site where you can order frames for $8 and up, maybe it will help. zennioptical.com good luck

Have you checked with your local optometrist, or lasic eye centre? Most times, when people get new glasses, they leave the old ones behind, especially at a lasic center seeing as the patient won't be needing glasses anymore.

Ask them if you could take a look at their discarded glasses, you may be able to find a pair of frames that will fit your lenses.
