free eye exam and glasses

Is there any organization that helps out the poor with free eye exams and glasses for those who can't afford to pay?

Might want to try the local Lions Club, they have a vision program. I'm not sure what it entails

It depends on your region.In my student days my clinic organized free vision screening in churches and in the rural communities.Once in a while,if money was approved by the department(optometry) we gave out free glasses,but this was very rare.So find out from your schools of optometry or from any optometric outfit around you.Goodluck.

Nobody in America needs to go without glasses. The states have a variaty of programs. If you fall through the cracks, the Lions or other charity will be there.
