French Citizenship

I was born in Paris France in 1939.
My father applied for me for citizenship, but was unable to finish the process because he was in the French Army during WW II. We left for ths USA as refugees in 1941. I am a citizen of USA.
Previous attempts to obtain French citizenship thru French consulates abroad have failed because process was not completed in 1939.
I am now in Paris, and would like to pursue this further.
Where should I apply?
