| its been a while since i have played it, but what i do remember is this. you can get the suns song from one of the graves on the kakariko village graveyard. you have to push one of the gravestones and fall down the hole that it reveals. then you go through a couple of rooms that have some keese (bats) and redead. and be careful not to go into the green stuff, because that hurts you. to get epona (the horse), you have to go to lonlon ranch when you are a child and learn epona's song from malon. she is in the middle of the fenced in area where all the horses are. you talk to her and then show her your ocarina. then she will teach it to you. after you have learned it, go back there as an adult (but you will need to have at least 70 rupees with you), and talk to ingo (the guy who is standing outside the fence where all the horses are. pay 10 rupees for a ride, but dont get on the horse that he gives you. instead, play epona's song, and epona will come running to you. get on her and ride her until the time runs out. after that, talk to ingo again, and agree to pay another 10 rupees to ride again. get on epona again, but instead of riding around, ride over to ingo and talk to him. he will then challenge you to a race, and thats where the last 50 rupees come in. you need to beat him in a race, riding epona. when you beat him, he will lock you into the paddock, so all you need to do is jump over the fence with epona. then whenever you want to ride epona, all you have to do is play epona's song and she will come running. but there are some places she cant go, like death mountain or kakariko village. you cant get into grudo valley as a kid, but as an adult you need epona to jump the gap where the bridge used to be. when you get into there, though, if one of them spot you, you just get thrown straight into jail. if that happens, use the hookshot on the peice of wood outside the window.
to beat dark link, i would just keep using dins fire, and then finish him off with the sword. it worked most of the time. |
