I saw a commercial On Demand advertising a video game system where the player was actually a soldier. I remember the player shooting down an enemy helicopter, and he was able to choose his own weapons. It was very realistic. I believe the game is kind of played like a chat room, where other people can play with you, but it's not on the computer, it's on the television.
Does anyone know the name of the game or the game system?
That could be one of 100 games out right now... the mosty likely candidates are: Call of Duty: World At War, Killzone 2, Gears of War 2, Metal Gear Solid 4.... the list goes on and on. If it was possibly an older game Battlefield: Bad Company had a few missions where you have to shoot down a helicopter. All the games I mentionned have the ability to play online with other users while chatting.
Most likely it's a PS3 or Xbox 360 game, you'll have to just watch for the commercial again.
I had no idea there were so many. I will keep my eye out again for the commercial, or I will do some research with the names of the games that you have provided.
also could be call of duty 4:modern warfare you shoot down a lot of helicopters in that, and maybe mercenaries i remember there being a helicopter in the trailer, but he hijacked it,
just two more to look into if you want but i agree with lowtax e list of games it could be from the description is rather long.
actually a confession i never played it, my brother got it and from his point of view it was a good game, the yahtzee review sums it upalright, you just have to remember he hates everything, unfortunatly i never got round to playing it myself.
Thanks guys, I did some research and it seems the closest one to what I actually saw was Call of Duty. However, I watched the trailer, and it seemed a little less realistic than the one I remember, and actually the player didn't have anyone else fighting with him like the player in Call of Duty, the player was by himself and killed the other players. But it looked most like what I saw.
