Sims 2 installing

Whenever I try to install one of my Sims 2 expansions packs they never pop up when I put them in the disk rom. Then, when I go to 'install hardware' and say next it says how would you like to install this game and i go to browse and theres nothing in EA games section except for eagamesuninstall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please help
