Metroid Prime Varia suit

Hi,
In metroid prime trilogy, in the part of Metroid Prime, I am just aboout to get to the part in the magmoor caverns in which extreme heat makes you loose life if you dont have the varia suit, and I havent found the varia suit yet, so I was wondering, did I miss a step or do you get the suit after the magmoor caverns? If I missed something, where can I find the suit?
