Best computer golf game?

I know most will answer the Tiger Woods game. But which version is best? For the 2007 version do I really need a kick butt high end system? Will it play user-designed courses from previous versions?

Is Links dead? It's important that the game have a fairly robust user created courses support. I used to PGA Championship Golf 2000 and loved it and the great user community.
