switching off xp pro login "ctrl alt del"

Hi folks
I hope this is the correct forum area.....
I have been given a old xp pro desk top unit that is perfect for home use.
I need to switch off the logging at the start up to return it to its original start up xp state. I have switched from domain to work group in the system/computer name/ network id and i have also changed the settings to not logging on in desktop/properties/screen saver unchecked "on resume password protect". But the darn thing still wants me to log on.
How do I set the unit to go to the user icons welcome startup page with admin, users and guest???

Any ideas people???

Many thanks

Try the following:
Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy

From here expand Local Policies and select Security Options. Find the following:

Interactive logon: Do not require CRTL+ALT+DEL

Select and display properties with right click and disable this policy.

Sorry, someone wanted to activate this function. Just enable the policy and CTRL+ALT+DEL will stop on boot up.
