Need TranXit 3.0 by Puma Technology Inc.

I am in desperate need of this program! TranXit 3.0 by Puma Technology Inc. I have inherited an OLD laptop with files that I need to transfer.... It does not have a floppy drive, and the CD drive is not working properly. The above mentioned program is on the laptop though.......if only I could get another copy, maybe I could do the transfer?!? Any suggestions?

There's an easier way, well a couple really.
1/ get yourself a flash drive or external CD burner
OR
2/ Use online file storage and just upload what you want to the net. Here's a few to have a look at.

Hope this helps

Here's a few more suggestions to Ben's. If both PC's have connections to the internet try:
  • Emailing the files from one PC to another (best for small files)
  • If both PC's are connected via a network, use MSN Messenger. Zip the files up and then use Send File. Over a network, transfer speeds can be extremely fast.
  • Set up a FTP server on the target PC and use the other PC to connect to this FTP server and transfer the files. A good, free FTP client/server can be found here

There are a couple of issues here. If you need the program as well as the files, you might want to try something like PC Relocate, which can transfer programs as well as data through a direct connection between the two machines.

If you just need the data files, but in a more readable format, you can export them onto the laptop and transfer to another machine using the previous suggestions.
