Shutting down computer

Help!! When attempting to shut down the computer via the "start" button, after being on the internet, a gray box comes up that says, "Outlook HTML Menu - this program is not responding. It maybe busy, waiting on a response form you, or it may have stopped running." Clicking on "wait, end task, or close" does nothing. Then a box comes up "lexplore (not responding)" and everything locks up. Clicking Cntrl, Alt, Del often does nothing either and I have to end up shutting the computer down via the button on the modum. HELP!! ??? ??? ???

Go to microsoft.com and do a windows update and also do an office update. If this does not help, reinstall microsoft office or run a "detect and repair" of MS Office.
