There are a number of SUNY colleges that are in various locations in the state, five or so hours away. SUNY-Brockport comes to mind. There are several colleges in Rochester--RIT, UR.

What course of study did you have in mind? Are you willing to go out of state, say, to New England (where there are a number of colleges) or to Pennsylvania or Virginia?

favorably Long Island?
By this, do you mean preferably five hours AWAY from L.I.?

I mean about 5 hours away from Long Island. I won't be willing to go to New England, but Pennsylavania and Virginia are fine.

What about a SUNY college? If you are a resident of that state, tuition would be low and programs are diverse and well-run.

1. Big or small campus?
2. Program possibilities?
3. Environment - small town or city?
4. Public or private college?
