This area seems to be neglected,so after watching one of my favourite travellors,Michael Palin,in an interview on telly tonight,I thought,as we all live in different parts of the world,why not either,(a) share some interesting facts about where we all live,or (b) why not tell each other about places we've visited,and maybe swap notes.To make sure all this fits into the rules of the site,maybe it should be in question form.In other words,if someone went onto say why they enjoyed a visit to place X,then I (others),could ask why they thought that place was good,or terrible

Just as a starter,I'm going to Tenerife in the Canary Islands,Easter,just for a week,to Playas da las Americas.Has anyone ever been,and what did they think of it?
